WEAR & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

QUICK TIPS

  • To ensure a successful treatment outcome, patients must participate in virtual alignercheck appointments via the Zoom.us video conferencing application at the recommended time
  • All patients must also attend in-person aligner check appointments at the recommendedrecall time
  • Wear aligners as instructed at your last visit, at least 20 hrs/day, 1-2 weeks/tray.
  • Clean aligners with a soft toothbrush, cold water, and antibacterial hand
  • If your aligners are particularly dirty you may use RetainerBrite to clean We willprovide you with a sample of this product, and it is widely available for purchase on Amazon.com.
  • Aside from cold water, please do not eat/drink with your aligners in your
  • Keep your aligners in a safe place away from pets and high
  • Never wrap aligners in a napkin as they are often mistakenly

Always bring all of your aligners and 3D models to your appointments.

 

ALIGNER INSERTION & RE8/IOVAL

TO INSERT:

  1. Be sure to have the proper aligner in-hand (upper or lower) prior to insertion.
  2. When inserting each aligner, gently push the aligners over your front teeth first. Then apply equal pressure, using your fingertips, to the tops of your left and right molars until the aligner snaps into
  3. Do not use your teeth to bite your aligners into
  4. If your aligner does not seat completely try using the “aligner chewy” you were given to help seat the aligner in the area.

TO REMOVE:

  1. Use your fingertip on the inside of your back molar to slowly pull the aligner downward and away from your
  2. Repeat this process on the other side of your mouth before trying to completely remove the
  3. Once the aligner is disengaged from the molars on both sides of your mouth, you should be able to slowly work your way forward gently prying the aligner away from your teeth with your
  4. If you have difficulty removing your aligner, try using the “aligner removal tool” you were given to help remove the aligner.

 

LOST OR BROKEN ALIGNER POLICY

At each visit you will be given sets of clear  aligners and their  corresponding  3D printed models. Lost or damaged aligners and 3D models may cause treatment delays and will result  in additional costs as follows:

  • $25 — per lost or damaged aligner
  • $25 — per lost or damaged 3D printed model
  • $5 — per replacement aligner case

At your consult, Dr. Moody will review your medical and dental histories and examine your teeth. He will then recommend a treatment type, explain the treatment plan, and provide an estimated treatment length. During the visit we will also review all financial info, insurance coverages, and provide flexible payment plans. If desired, most patients can start treatment the same day.
